The monthly hosting service includes routine platform care. A site-specific fault, custom change or unsupported component can need different work. Use this guide to discuss coverage, with your Service Summary setting the agreed scope.

Included care and separately scoped work
| Work | Coverage and boundaries |
|---|---|
| Managed environment | Server and security patching, SSL, edge protection and monitoring are part of hosting care. |
| WordPress and Joomla | Supported core, plugin and extension updates are handled on a schedule. Vendor licences and compatibility affect update availability. |
| Laravel and static sites | Hosting and agreed runtime services are managed. Application dependencies, business logic, site content and build output remain subject to the agreed division of responsibility. |
| Backups and recovery | Off-site backups are provided under the schedule, retention and restore scope in the Service Summary. Confirm the available recovery point before a restore. |
| Additional technical work | Site-specific remediation beyond routine care, extra troubleshooting and vendor coordination are scoped and quoted separately. |
| Design and development | Redesign, content writing, custom features, platform rebuilds, marketing and SEO campaigns require a separate written agreement. |
| Response coverage | Automated monitoring is continuous. Human response targets follow the Service Summary and are not guaranteed resolution times. |
An update is a change to the website
Compatibility, vendor support and the recovery route matter before applying an update. Where staging is available, agree which changes need testing there and who approves the result. A discontinued extension or a major-version rebuild may need a separate project.
Where Website Technical Management fits
The optional service is for additional site-specific work and vendor coordination beyond the routine care above. Ask for the tasks, exclusions, charges and response arrangements to be recorded before it is added. It does not silently turn the hosting plan into unlimited design or development.
Use the agreement as the operational reference
Your Service Summary records the covered websites, backup and support details and any add-ons. Read the service terms and hosting security overview alongside that record.
Website care questions
Are routine CMS updates an extra fee?
Supported WordPress and Joomla update care is part of the published hosting offer. Licences, unsupported software and additional work can change the scope and are reviewed separately.
Does monitoring mean a technician responds at any hour?
Continuous automated monitoring and staffed response coverage are different commitments. Human response targets are those agreed for your service.
Can I ask for content or design changes?
Yes, as separately scoped work. Confirm what is being changed and the quote before it is scheduled.
Which plan includes the core care?
The four published tiers share the core care offer and differ in capacity. Compare hosting plans.
